Groovy beats, delicious food, flavoursome cocktails and amazing vibes, our weekend at the Jameson Connects Mumbai couldn’t have been better! If you were there, you’d know exactly what we’re talking about. If you weren’t able to make it, don’t you worry, we’re here to tell you about all that went down! The event brought to you by Jameson Glassware & VH1 Supersonic at The Lalit Lawns on May 27 was definitely a complete package for all Indie music lovers. It promised a night of unmissable local cultural experiences with food, a retail shop and of course, great music and definitely proved to be a catalyst for #SupportTheLocalScene.
Starting the evening was the one-man-band Gandhar whose beats had us shaking a leg right from the very beginning. Next up, T.ill APES or ‘T.ill All People Evolve Slightly’, a six-membered band from Bangalore, rapped on their hip-hop beats and fusion funk music. Taking a meditative yet soul-stirring turn to the Music, Sandunes aka Sanaya Ardeshir took to the stage with her band to bring an audio-visual experience with her nature-inspired electronic tunes. The show-stopping performance by KAYAN aka Ambina Nayak with her troupe dancing around her as she sang her hits absolutely set the stage on fire.
While the stage was lit up with groovy music, the Jameson Connects sub-culture zone had a lot more in store for people to experience. Funky prints by Sazo, cool and comfy fits by Hop Head, exclusive collection of kicks and sneakers, accessories by Y2K by Ash and a Vinyl records pop-up by The Revolver Club were the homegrown brands part of the retail therapy zone! People inked memories from the night at the tattoo parlour, made friends over a game of foosball or snooker and lounged around enjoying the variety of food and beverages curated for the night!
