Bored of the jewellery you already own, or need a wardrobe refresh? We've made this list of jewellery stores that are #hatke, and will make sure your outfit looks absolutely fabulous. It's time to shop from local brands that are pushing the envelope with respect to design, and are crafting pieces that are like nothing you've seen before!

Bhavya Ramesh Jewellery

This brand isn't just Instagram famous, it's basically Instagram royalty. They opened their flagship store in Fort earlier this year to much fanfare, and after seeing their beautiful pieces IRL, we get it. They refer to themselves as a 'conscious silverwear brand', and their aesthetic is super inclusive, edgy and expressive. Their offerings aren't what we'd call affordable, so look for a piece you would not mind wearing for years to come, or spoil yourself with their very cool range of sunglasses.

Cost: INR 2,900 onwards

Pooja - Beautifully Yours

This chain of stores is very different from the last entry on this list. It's a traditional jewellery chain that stocks gold-plated, metal alloy and silver jewellery of all kinds, across budgets. Pooja's a chain that has a really nice curation of products, unlike other neighbourhood stores where the selection is tedious to go through. They also stock hair accessories and makeup.

Pricing: INR 80 onwards

Silver Streak

This store has been around for quite a while, and you're bound to spend many hours here browsing! The range is super varied, and is all crafted in pure silver. They've even got BAGS made of silver. Quite the statement, trust us! The store is chock full of classic statement rings, massive jhumkas, stunning neckpieces and nose rings, too.

Cost: INR 700 onwards

Azotiique, Khar

While you're in Khar, do make a visit to Azotiique. It's a multi-designer fashion jewellery store that stocks creations by designers like Varun Raheja. A celebrity and stylist favourite, the store has high-quality statement designs that are fresh off Fashion Week's runways and red carpets. In case you're in SoBo, there's a branch in Kemp's Corner, too!

Cost: INR 1,200 onwards

Lune

Only a few steps away is the iconic and much-loved Lune. If you're more contemporary, less traditional, Lune's the place for you. They're very high fashion in the sense that they have themed, seasonal collections all year, like the Chimbai Jewel Drip, Creatures of The Sea, and more. These make for great gifts, too. This brand is pricier, and definitely counts as luxury.

Cost: INR 1,800 onwards

This Lot Stores At Colaba Causeway

You've probably seen these stores as you're passing by, and popped into one to check out the stuff from their display. This line of stores can be a bit overwhelming to shop from, so we've written down a handy guide that you can go through before settling on a store of your choice. Remember to bargain, and let them know you're no tourist.

Payal Mittle, Cumballa Hill

SoBo girlies, this store at Kemps Corner will sort y'all out if you need traditional jewellery that'll look amazing with your OTT Diwali and shaadi outfits. While they do have subtler, smaller pieces, we're recommending Payal Mittle for their range of Kundans, Polkis, multicoloured pearls, and diamante drop earrings.

Cost: INR 2,500 onwards

Curio Cottage, Santacruz, Khar & Colaba

Another celeb favourite, Curio Cottage has been around since 1971. This one's got the reputation of having exactly what you're looking for, whether it's something very traditional, or something that can be worn all-year round, all day. Trust them to create thick, pearly chokers with Kundan pendants, or delicate silver chains with teeny-tiny heart-shaped pendants. Of course, you'll also get matching sets, even with bangles and matha pattis.
