One of Bandra’s most well-maintained and scenic parks, Jogger’s Park has recently been in the news, and we decided to spend an evening there like the good old days.

A Walk In The Park
In this report by Times of India, we read that the BMC has now taken control of the maintenance of Jogger’s Park. For regular runners and visitors of the park, this came as an unpleasant shock as they suspect that this will lead to the deterioration of the park’s upkeep.
With a community that includes dedicated runners, joggers, slow walkers, strollers and others, the 400-metre-long path is also wide enough to accommodate everyone.
The seaside park has so much greenery, a gorgeous view of the sea and plenty of benches and single seats for the non-athletically inclined to sit on and enjoy the view. Our favourite section however, {besides the kids’ zone whose swing set we were eyeing} was in the middle with the pond, bridge and geese. Although a murder of crows flock to the centre, we couldn’t take our eyes off the ducks and geese waddling in the water.
What’s The Next Step?
At the entrance, the residents have kept a form for a signed petition, after which they plan to take the petition to the authorities. If you want to be a part of their cause, you can also sign their online petition here.
