In the lanes around Shakti Mills, there’s a cluster of home decor, tile, marble and lighting stores that are super chic, feature wonderful curations and truly offer something that’s #hatke. It’s no wonder that Kalakaari Haath outgrew their former space in Bandra and set up camp in this cluster in a two-storeyed store that’s beautifully done, and communicates their design philosophy brilliantly.
It’s airy, and there’s so much attention to detail. It’s rich and vibrant without being gauche. Even the darn kids’ section is chic AF. While we know and love their offerings, here’s a lowdown for you! Their wall decals are what drew us in. They’re versatile, won’t damage your walls, and are anything but flimsy-looking. We’ve seen our share of decals, haven’t we? They’re usually flat, unimaginative, and tend to make spaces look un-chic. Well, these are luxe! Their wall decals are quirky, have dimension, and they’re colourful. Some are designed to interact with whatever you’ve already got hanging up at home, check out the one called “Peek A Boo”!
Kalakaari Haath deals in beautiful wall art, wall decals, printed fabrics, and wallpapers. At the Mahalaxmi outlet, you can also take a look at their stunning in-house furniture range. It’s all got a whole lotta soul, and we adore that so many of their motifs are inspired by India. The kids’ section’s offerings are quite ageless. There’s no generic images of princesses and cars or Peppa Pig here. Expect artsy jungle scenes, cute space-themed artwork, and more unique takes on what makes design child-appropriate. We loved the one that’s called 'Enid Went Tropical'.
Their entire range of wallpapers follows similar themes, but has more timeless designs. It’s all decidedly on the higher end, price wise, but head to the store, and the look and feel is likely to convince you to splurge.
