'Tis the season of waterfalls and we believe that there is just so much natural beauty out there that we should experience atleast once. There's a Kataldhar waterfall trek that's taking place the coming weekend weekend, and what makes it really special is that the waterfall is seasonal, and can only be seen during the monsoons. Fun Fact: Kune Waterfall and Kataldhar Waterfall actually feed Ulhas river that flows all the way to Thane and Vasai creek.
Going back to the trek, it will lead you through dense forests and while the route may be a little slippery (please make sure you wear proper footwear) and you have to be careful while descending the waterfall. Kataldhar can also be seen from Shirvardhan fort. There are caves that have been formed beneath the waterfall, and are only visible if the flow of the waterfall is moderate.
