Levis Celebrates 146 Years Of Ingenious Creation And You're Invited To The Celebrations

Every May, Levi's celebrates 501 Day, the anniversary of their 501 original Levi's jeans. This celebration is an ode to the pair of jeans that started it all. Over the decades, these jeans have been the canvas for self-expression and has been repurposed in countless ways. This year, Levis will be celebrating 501 Day at the Famous Studios in Mumbai with the theme, “Make it personal”. The celebration of 501 Day will include art installations, Levi's Tailorshop and great music lineup, with artists from across the world.

The event will feature 25 supremely customised pairs of jeans by artists across India with art installations that brings Levi’s core values of equality and sustainability to life. We cannot wait to witness this! You will also get to see custom artwork exclusively for 501 Day by Adarsh Balak, Sam Madhu, Ikat Story and Srillustrator.

A part of Levi’s existence is known for varied styles of jeans throughout the decades. 501 Day will host the biggest Tailorshop at the celebrations, where you can get your jeans customised and not limited to cut and length but includes pins, patches, paneling, heat transfer, distressing, screen printing, doodle designs, embroidery.

As we all know, music is an integral part of Levis, and at 501 Day, they have an awesome lineup, headlined by BAS. BAS, internationally renowned rapper was Source Magazine’s 2013 list of Top20 tapes. His newest album Milky Way hit #35 on Billboard 200 and he has collaborated with artists like J Cole, 50 Cent, The Hics and many more.  

From Washington DC is Oddisee in hip hop genre. He is known for his album Good Company, winner of “Apple Tunes Award” and performances at major festivals across the globe.

The event will also have DJ artists Raji Rags from London, Delhi’s very own, Pia Collada and from Shillong, Miba Ofilia, winner of 2018's MTV EMA's Best India Act for her song Done Talking.

Famous Studios is a landmark for Mumbai’s dream industry - Cinema. Since 1946, the studio has won many accolades, worked and celebrated with celebrities, brands and industry headliners.
