What Is It?

Go and experience the madness of Tritha Electric, a unique Indo-French band that plays psychedelic punk rock - unique because it blends itself with traditional Indian classical vocals. They are performing at the Bandra Amphitheater on 15 November, 7.30pm onwards as organised by Alliance Francis Bombay Culture.

What Is It?

Tritha Electric was formed in 2010 by Tritha Sinha - who backs the vocals and Paul Schneiter - who plays the drums. They were later joined by Tony Guinard on bass and Mathias Durand on the electric guitar. This band is what happens when New Delhi meets Paris - psychedelic punk music but the sweetness of the Indian classical vocals.

Their first album was released in 2014 titled 'PaGLI' which basically explored the transition of an Indian classical woman who transforms herself into an independent individual ready to face the world - perhaps how Queen would've been performed if it was a musical.

Who Is It For?

For the punks who grew up on the Sex Pistols, Sonic Youth and Patti Smith or who want to just go and have a musical evening. It's a two-hour live show.

Anything Else?

The event is free and open to all - so head there to grab the best seats.
