Chow Down
Luca Bar and Kitchen opened its door to the public on a week ago and is already making waves with its dedicated Hispanic cuisine and bar menu. Headed by Chef Davide Cananzi and helmed by Abhishek Soparkar, Sidharth Matta and Davinder Arora, Luca is whole-heartedly dedicated to the cuisine of the Latin countries.
Straight out of a Caribbean dream, the menu focuses on the authentic dishes found on the streets of Latin America. The names are all Spanish with an explanation on the menu to let you know what you’ll be ordering in. Some of the outstanding dishes from the menu: sea food paella {INR 725}, pulpazo aka grilled octopus {INR 650}, squid barbacao {INR 650}. For the avocado lovers, go crazy with their stuffed avocado which is basically filled with cheese, spiced vegetables and a blue cheese sauce.
They also have a special Cocas section which is basically Hispanic flat bread with a topping of your choice {veggie, pork, beef et al}. Then for people who like sticking to non-experimental dishes, there’s your burritos, tacos, enchiladas lasagnas.
Lastly, do not forget to try out their deliciously sinful churros {INR 390} for the Mexican overdose, along with a plate of their chocolate ice cream tacos {INR 390}. Here’s to living the true Latin holiday and exploring their culture with only we know how, food.
Sip On
If there’s anything you’d be doing right now in Cuba, would be sipping on your margaritas and swaying to the street music.
Luca has a great section of cocktails from mango and strawberry mojito Mexican cha cha, peach basil Margarita and so much more. All of the cocktails start INR 450 upwards.
So, We're Saying...
If you’re looking to try out a cuisine unfamiliar to you, then head to Luca’s and bit hit by a wave of all thing Latin.
