What Makes It Awesome

Okay this week just got a whole lot better for beer lovers! We're thrilled to find out that Craft Breweries will be allowed to do take-aways and delivery for your favourite brews as well as supply growlers to bars and restaurants for take-away. The 'growler' as a concept has been quite a familiar one in the States, Australia, Canada and more. However, making the sale of beer in growlers a permanent option in Maharashtra, is a first.

Wondering what a 'growler' is? It's usually a food-grade reusable bottle in glass, ceramic or steel that you can carry home your draught beer in, between one and five-litre capacity. The idea is that your favourite micro-breweries, bars and restaurants that sell craft beer will be able to set up filling stations where you can go and fill up a growler with your beer of choice.

While the setting up of growler-filling stations may take a while, the sale of craft beer in ready-to-carry growlers is slated to start as early as this week itself in Maharashtra. So long-story-short you may have your favourite beer from Doolally, Toit, Effingut, or Brewbot in your hand and ready to chug sooner than you imagined!
