Maharashtra may just have bagged the trophy for being the coolest state in India – for it’s hosting India’s first wine festival!

Tell Me More

With a wine scene flourishing in its backyard, Maharashtra is hosting a wine festival in Nashik as we write this. Organised by Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation Nashik Valley Wine Cluster, India Grape Harvest started on Friday, February 16 and will go on till March 11 {every Friday, Saturday and Sunday}.

This comes as the best news ever because you can now drive down to Nashik over the weekend to enjoy wine from about 20 vineyards in the area. You can camp on the site, go grape stomping, indulge in a session of wine painting, vinotherapy and more. Wineries like Sula, Kensington Club, Sahyadri Agro Farm, Soma, Vinchur, Vallone, Chandon are participating, so you can imagine what it will be like. The festival will be taking place at participating wineries, vineyards, agro farms in and around Nashik, so be ready to hop skip and jump from one place to the other.

So, We're Saying...

This comes as a great move from MTDC to encourage what is probably India’s only wine scene. The entry to the festival starts at INR 300 and you can book here.

Where: Vineyards, wineries and agro farms in Nashik
