For over 40 years Faces Canada has been an impactful beauty brand, and while it was originally all Canadian, back in 2007, it was acquired by Indivision India Partners and launched in the country in 2009. Since, then they've been winning hearts for thier mid-ranged cosmetics. After all, it has a range that caters to the many skin tones in India, offers quality beauty and personal care, and has a wide price range too. We scouted some brands similar to Faces Canada be it for their options or their price. So that next time you need to restock your makeup kit, you’re not out of options.

Sugar Cosmetics

One of the earliest Indian beauty brands that cater to Indian skin tones, the Sugar cosmetics range keeps growing. Just like Faces Canada, their makeup range at present is quite expansive and decently priced at above INR 250 and not over INR 2,500. We love their Aquaholic Range, which is a hydration-friendly range perfect for the heatwave we’re facing.

LBB's Favourite Product: We can swear by their Wingman Waterproof Eyeliner, which is truly transfer-proof and waterproof.

Their makeup range starts at INR 249.

LBB's Favourite Product: Their Magicolor Lipstick is worth buying for only INR 125, as it's hydrating and its cream formula makes it super easy to apply.

FAE Beauty is an Indian beauty brand that offers lipsticks, gloss and mascara and eyebrow brushes that are made for Indian skin tones. While FAE Beauty’s range may be minimal, it’s quite multi-faceted. For example their lipsticks are buildable, which means you can use it as an eye shadow, blush or lip tint. The best bit? FAE’s products are cruelty-free (like Faces Canada, no?), paraben-free and are made with quality ingredients that won’t damage your skin.

LBB's Favourite Product: We're suckers for a brown shade and love FAE's Buildable Matte Lipstick - Too Extra; it's perfect to wear from 9 to 9.

Their price range starts at INR 499.

Like Faces Canada is built on over 40-years of Canadian heritage, Daughter Earth is using the age old philosophies of Ayurveda along with modern science. The brand designs a line of natural, plant-based skincare, and there's a lot you can shop for. From exfoliating cleansers to lipsticks, lip masks, shampoos and even body mists - the brand offers a lot. The best bit? A portion of Daughter Earth's profits go into conservation initiatives and investing in the education of girl children.

LBB's Favourite Product: We love their 100% vegan Vitamin E Lip & Cheek Tints and our favourite shade is the Pinot Noir.

Their price range starts at INR 475.

Kiro Beauty

Compacts, lipsticks, brow pencils, mascara, lip lacquer, eyeliners - the brand has a whole range, and it keeps growing. A great way to get the most out of the brand is to grab their Value Sets, which are a combo of eye, face and lip makeup.

LBB's Favourite Product: You should get your hands on their Longwear Brightening Eyeshadow Stick, we love the Peachy Gold one for a modestly glam look.

Disguise Cosmetics

A homegrown, PETA approved vegan brand that's cruelty free just like Faces Canada, Disguise Cosmetics claims to be India’s first indie makeup brand. Without using any kind of ingredients obtained from animals, Disguise has managed to build an affordable range of eyeliners, kajal, hand creams, eye shadows, nail polishes, lip crayons, lipsticks and liquid lipsticks. With an array of shades, Disguise is a brand worth adding to your makeup vanity. If you use Faces' matte lipsticks, you'll really like the ones of Disguise too.

LBB's Favourite Product: Their long-lasting nail polish is worth adding to your makeup vanity; and if you love darker shades, you must try out their Mulberry nail polish.

Luaer Cosmetics

Luaer in French means glow, and that’s where the brand gets its name from. Inspired by her grandmother, founder Pallavi Mohoni developed many versions of cosmetics before she perfected them. Luaer now offers lipsticks and make-up removers. While the range is limited, these natural lipsticks are based on age-old traditions, quite like Faces’ philosophy.

LBB's Favourite Product: Their vegetarian, paraben-free lipsticks are matte and worth buying. We love Imaan, which is a cardinal red evocative of a vintage look.

Their price range starts at INR 750.

Ruby's Organics

Non-toxic and paraben free, Ruby’s Organics is quite like its counterparts in the beauty market. But it also offers long lasting, lightweight makeup with a highly pigmented formula. Like Faces Canada, their broad line of makeup and shades offers products across many categories: Concealer & foundation, eyeshadow & highlighter, cheek & lip tint, lipstick & lip balms, and smoked kohl & eye pencil. Their entire range of makeup is made with natural and organically sourced ingredients, and is additionally infused with bio-active ingredients that nourish and care for your skin.

LBB's Favourite Product: We love their Hydra Liquid Concealers as they blend easily and are available for all skin tones. Also, super similar to BlendFinity concealer stick over on Faces Canada!

And also skin type: Sensitive skin, dry skin, oily skin, and so on. Like Faces Canada, Earth Rhythm offers products that are made with quality materials that are skin-friendly, but this brand goes a step ahead by ensuring that everything is clinically checked and dermatologist approved. You’ll find lip and cheek tints, lip mask, lip butter, kohl pencil, and more in their makeup range. They also have an extensive bath, skin and hair care range as well.

LBB's Favourite Product: We love the brand's Lip Butter as it's organic and nourishes the lips as it's made with shea butter, olive oil and castor oil. It's a must-have in your vanity for soft lips.

Their price range starts at INR 250.

Kay Beauty

Owned by Katrina Kaif, Kay Beauty offers a wide range that’s perfect for beginners and makeup experts alike. What we find similar to Faces Canada is that they keep it simple in terms of products, but push the envelope with it comes to the functionality. Right from basics like lipstick, and smudged kohl blush to liquid liners, liquid highlighters, and more, you'll find a hint of a difference. Like the lipsticks are long-lasting and don't dry your lips. Similar to these ones from Faces Canada. Both hydrating, long-lasting and don't melt in the bag!

While we can’t be sure how much Katrina is involved in the making of the products, we know that the line uses quality ingredients and offers new launches and a variety that’s rare to find.

LBB's Favourite Product: Their 24-hour Kajal is truly long-lasting and worth buying if you're someone who doesn't step out of the house without wearing some. It won't smudge from morning till night.

Their price range starts at INR 370.
