Ostaad is a place at Kamla Mills where you'd find a plethora of middle eastern and Mediterranean cuisine including some really great drinks! The ambience is lavish and there's golden lighting all over the place which makes it feel great. Also there's a separate kitchen for Vegetarian food
Drinks:
1. So Berries: A thick mocktail having berries with maple syrup, cream and a bit of grenadine. When you have a sip, there is a blast of the berry flavours in the mouth and it tastes really good!
2. Apple n Mint Mule: A mocktail with ginger beer, fresh lime, apple juice and mint. It's served with a small piece of apple and ginger on the top of the glass. The flavours of lemon and ginger blend well with a small hint of the mint.
Food:
1. Sultani Kebab: A mutton kebab with a spicy masala. The mutton is very well cooked and has a spicy taste with the tandoor effect.
2. Murgh Pashtooni Kebab: A mild chicken kebab which is made up of chicken mince and delish spices. The quantity is good and the taste of this kebab is great. You can pair it with the green chutney or with the chutney served with it.
3. Murgh Samarkand: Tomato based, medium spicy chicken gravy. The star anise flavour makes a huge difference and enhances the taste. Also you can pair it with one of the afghani breads available.
4. Kagarcha Gosht: A brown gravy with ghee and saffron from Kagarcha. The gravy is a bit thin and is spicy. The mutton is well cooked and tastes good.
5. Taftan: An Afghani style flat bread with white sesame seed on it. The size is large but the amazing taste can definitely help to you to finish it easily. It's very well made and is a bit toasty so tastes well with any gravy.
6. Afghan Kahmeeri: Another Afghani style flat bread with black sesame seeds on it. This one's wheat based. It's a bit crunchy and tastes well when paired with Kagarcha Gosht.
7. Baklava: The famous middle eastern dessert. Served warm in the form of 3 pieces, baklava has a great taste! The crunchy outer covering with the soft inner dry fruit mixture tastes good.
