LED Screens, Plush Seating & A Cafe: The Iconic Metro Cinema Just Got A Shiny Makeover

For 79 Years, Metro Cinema has been a landmark building in South Mumbai. After witnessing large-scale film premieres, hosting the first ever Filmfare Awards, and becoming a multiplex in 2006, the iconic Metro Cinema has now undergone a huge, shiny transformation and we’re super thrilled. As Metro INOX, there’s plenty for us to look forward to over here and here’s what we know.

Belgian chandeliers, wood panelling, LED screens, augmented reality experiences, and the gourmet food are just some of the many new additions to this stunning theatre. The art deco theatre which has now been taken over by INOX, will also have a first of its kind kids-only auditorium called Kiddles, where the little ones can comfortable sit in colourful seats and order tasty snacks.

For the rest of us, there’s going to be super comfy, plush seats with plenty of leg room, high-quality audio-visual facilities and Cafe Unwind, where can all grab some delicious grub and beverages. Select from items such as mac n cheese, flavoured popcorn, mocktails and more.
