Poli Bhaji, Batata Vada & More: Savour Maharashtrian Cuisine At This Eatery
What Makes It Awesome?
What a neat little nook. It's a typical Marathi cuisine serving outlet located in Kandivali East. The place is not only for Maharashtrians but also anyone who loves Maharashtrian style food. Their menu boasts of all traditional vegetarian Marathi hot snacks. From misal pav to thali peeth, batata vada to sabudana vada, upma, sheera to kande pohe, kothambir wadi to aloo wadi and Puran poli, this place serves authentic Maharashtrian food at reasonable rates. They serve Poli Bhaji for mere INR 40, which has three chappatis and a different vegetable bhaji. To quench your thirst, they have Piyush, lassi, buttermilk, and kokam sharbat. Talking about the interiors, they have simple sitting arrangements and no AC environment. The walls are painted with cartoon characters depicting Mumbai's life (Ganpati, Shivaji Maharaj, Gateway of India, and Mumbai dabbawala etc) along with food images like pohe, kharvas, modak, sabudana vada, misal pav also drawn.
What Could Be Better?
The service is just about okay, but according to me, it's a joint worth exploring.
