A six-week long menu, Nourish by Indian-British Chef Mira Manek is being featured at our favourite – The Pantry in Kala Ghoda. The menu signifies Mira’s modern and healthy take on Gujarati cuisine.

Chow Down

Beginning June 27, The Pantry will be offering an exciting menu by chef Mira Manek. Her new cookbook that chronicles her own Gujarati recipes is called ‘Saffron Soul’. It will be available at the cafe for sale as well.

The menu will feature dishes off the cookbook and merges with The Pantry’s sensibility of serving unique and healthy food. The menu will feature her take on Gujarati dishes. Expect quinoa bhel {made from boiled chickpea, quinoa, sweet potato along with watermelon and tangy-tamarind chutney}, fennel and chia seed smoothie {INR 245} which is dairy-free and made from homemade coconut milk and dates. Then there’s carrot, oat and date pancake with jamun campote {INR 295} and of course, the classic Vagharela cauliflower rice. Manek, however, has added her touch to it by adding veggies and grated coconut to a humble recipe.

Lastly, if you’re in the mood for something sweet, there’s a beautiful and sublime cheesecake. The sugar-free saffron, lime and coconut cheesecake {which skips dairy and is made using cashew cream} will have your tongue rolling over your lips within seconds.

So, We're Saying...

We’re loving this bizarre collaboration between The Pantry and Chef Mira. The menu will be there for six-weeks. Take your parents out for a hearty meal?
