What Makes It Awesome

If you are someone who loves home cooked food but have budget constraints or your mom is in another city then don't be sad anymore, Mothers Kitchen has your back.

Started by Mr Akash Banwani, Mothers Kitchen is a small delivery outlet in Lokhandwala market catering to the needs of people who love their 'maa ka hath ka khaana'. I recently had the opportunity to visit them and taste the delicious dishes they have to offer. I had a lot on my plate, quite literally!

Started with my all time favourite; momos. I order the spinach momos and the ginger garlic chicken momos. I would definitely prefer the ginger garlic variant and they also sell like hot cakes!

Next on the menu was everyone's go-to dish when they can't think of anything particular to eat - dal khichdi. It was absolutely yummy and I actually felt as if my mother had specially made it for me. After dal khichdi came the coconut mushroom masala along with laccha parathas which were SO good. I am someone who cannot stand spicy food and if you are just like me, you must give the coconut mushroom masala a try!

Apart from all this, I also tried their chicken butter masala, Sindhi styled green chicken, the homelike chicken curry, and one of the most simple and staple Indian dishes - kali dal and jeera rice.

I'd highly recommend that you try their dal khichdi, Sindhi style green chicken, ginger garlic chicken momos, and the coconut mushroom masala.

What Could Be Better?

Hoping that they soon open a dine-in outlet as their food is delicious.

What's My Pro Tip?
