31 Malls And 4 Areas In Mumbai To Remain Open 24×7, According To BMC's Plan

What Is It?

Just a few months ago we mentioned how a bill had been passed to declare Mumbai as a 24X7 city. So, guess what? As per this report, in The Times of India, our prayers seem to have been answered. According to the report, “Soon, you might be able to go for dinner or even shopping at malls even in the dead of night, if a BMC plan gets the police go-ahead. The civic body has written to the police commissioner seeking opinion over allowing 31 malls and four popular spots to remain open 24/7.”

What Does This Mean?

This means you can watch a movie past midnight, or go on a date after a really long day at work {without worrying about the restaurant shutting down}, or simply shop for new clothes in the middle of the night. That’s right. While shops and restaurants serving alcohol haven’t been granted permission {yet}, there’s so much more everyone can look forward to {it’s not just about the parties}. The BMC has written to Mumbai Police, asking them for their go ahead. Four hotspots, mainly the area around Churchgate Station, CST, areas near airports and around The Gateway of India will remain open if everything gets approved. Malls like Phoenix Marketcity (Lower Parel and Kurla), Globus Bandra, Infiniti Malad and Oberoi Goregaon are some of the names mentioned on the list.

So, We're Saying...

We’re up all night for some fun and we cannot wait to see how it all unfolds.
