Mumbai peeps, this weekend comes with some really good news. From January 27th onwards, multiple malls, stores and shops, and eateries and bars can stay open 24X7. The much-awaited proposal of Maharashtra's Tourism Minister - Aaditya Thackrey - was finally approved by the BMC and the Mumbai Police this Friday ie January 17th. But but, without alcohol!
For now, only 25 malls can avail this advantage. Those include - Atria Mall (Worli), Growel 101 (Kandivali), Pheonix Market City (Kurla), High Street Pheonix (Lower Parel), Oberoi Mall (Goregaon).
What This Means For You? It means you can watch a movie past midnight, or go on a date after a really long day at work (without worrying about the restaurant shutting down), or simply shop for new clothes in the middle of the night. That’s right. While shops and restaurants serving alcohol haven’t been granted permission (yet), there’s so much more everyone can look forward to (it’s not just about the parties).
