CIDCO Kharghar Valley Golf Course has been designed by Phil Ryan and is an 11-hole course which is spread across almost 4,552 yards. Set against the backdrop of Pandvkada hills, it makes for a fitting course for people in the city who love golfing and haven’t been able to get membership to a particular club.
What We Love
The easy access to the golf course. Most of the golf courses in Mumbai are private members-only clubs. In some cases, the membership waiting is upto alost 10 years or above. With this public golf course, amateurs and professionals both can go here and get their time on the sport.
We advise you book your session in advance. For the weekend {Saturdays and Sundays} the play and pay charges are INR 1,200 {plus taxes}, and on other days it is INR 600 {plus taxes}. For non-Indian nationals, the charge is INR 2,400 {plus taxes} and INR 1,200 on other days. The equipment and the cart can be rented there itself. Additionally, INR 200 needs to be paid to the caddie after a round of golf.
They also organise coaching here for people who want to learn how to play the sport. For adults, it is INR 400 {plus taxes}.
So, We're Saying...
Though the golf course is in Navi Mumbai, you don’t need a member to go along with. You can just go there and play golf.
However, if you’re looking at other golf courses in Mumbai, you can check out The Bombay Presidency Golf Club, Golden Swan Golf Academy and Willingdon Sports Club. All of these golf courses are accessible only with a member and have set charge for the guests.
