What Is It?
Check out this evening of celebrating arts in India. The Ministry of New in collaboration with Helter Skelter Magazine will launch Live! at the Library this month, where set in a gorgeous library will be live music, dance, poetry and literature events.
Who Is It For?
For all those who would love to celebrate arts! Their aim is to showcase the independent arts scene in India. So imagine yourself seated in a breathtakingly beautiful library overlooking the heritage buildings of south Mumbai, all while witnessing amazing events and interviews, workshops, and discussions with creative people from across the country.
Why Should I Go For It?
Because why would you want to miss out on fabulous performances? Look forward to performances by Gowri Jayakumar - a singer-songwriter and producer based in Pune; Anu Elizabeth Roche, who has been performing spoken word poetry for over three years now, with featured performances in several literary festivals, including Kavya Hotra, Times Celebrate Bandra, and Poets Translating Poets; and Mahithi Pillay, who is a journalist by profession and a writer by habit.
The organisers will also be inviting poets from across the city to participate in an Open Mic session. There will be secret surprise gifts for the best open mic poets and secret surprises for the audience as well. And feel free to wear your Santa hats and come along.
Anything Else?
The first edition of Live! at the Library will take place on Friday, December 23 from 7.30pm onwards. The tickets are priced at INR 500 and will be available here.
