What Makes It Awesome?

Kakori House – After being to the Oshiwara outlet, I thought why not give it a try to this new joint as I was hanging out with friends in this area last week. To tell you about the location, initially, you would be little let down by where its located i.e. in some industrial estate under 85th Gala. Upon entering you get that cowboyish yet grungy and dim lit ambience. Menu out here is extended beyond their famous kebabs to the breakfast menu, continentals, oriental, pizza, burger etc. We didn’t try doing any experiments and stuck to their forte and below is my experience.

We started off with the drinks like LIIT (Rating 4/5) and Margarita (Rating 4/5) and both drinks were made well with an adequate amount of alcohol and an almost perfect mix. Later I tried Daiquiri (Rating 3/5) and Martini (Rating 4/5) which were relatively ok than the first two and the daiquiri was something if you like a relatively sweeter option in alcohol, only then order it.

We ordered the Mutton Galawati Kebab (Rating 5/5) which according to me are worlds BEST Kebabs ever because it was not just melting in mouth with a single bite, but it also had a great taste mixture and Butter Garlic Prawns (Rating 5/5) was their stunning dish from oriental side and must say, from the presentation to taste, it was spot on.

Later we ordered Mutton Kheema Pav (Rating 5/5) which was eye pleasing presentation wise and soul-satisfying taste-wise, Nalli Nihari with Sheermal (Rating 4/5) was mildly low on spices as I found that lacking just to get perfect dish but overall with sheermal i.e. saffron flavoured Indian flatbread was a great accompany, Murg Mussalam with Roomali Roti was a surprise too and you would definitely get over the typical butter chicken and chicken tikka masala after having this and Dum Pukht Chillman Gosht Handi Biryani (Rating 4/5) which had brilliant presentation and loved the aromatic biryani with mutton pieces just falling apart with a mild separation with fork.

For desserts, we tried Phirni and Shahi Tukda (Rating 4/5) which surprisingly weren’t that sweet as one would expect from Indian based sweet desserts. The chefs have really perfected this balancing part and would definitely recommend any of their Indian desserts. I wished I could try baked cheese cake but my tummy didn’t permit that.

I love Kakori House Brand and they are definitely paisa wasool in terms of the taste! If one has issues with the location of this place, please get it delivered at home rather but definitely worth trying the things I mentioned above. I rate the place 5!
