As an obsessive dessert fan, I'm always on the lookout for new dessert places to try. So when I stumbled upon Chez Oi, a cloud kitchen and take-away bakery with an inviting name and even more inviting desserts, I was intrigued.
Started by chef-partners Oishi and Dhanesh, Chez Oi (or Oishi's Place) evokes a feeling of a home away from home, a sense of cosiness and nostalgia that both longed for and felt while they were away pursuing their training in the culinary arts. Chez Oi is all about embracing a sense of playfulness and really enjoying dining as an experience. While the menu does have classics too like macarons, tarts, artisanal breads and more, what stands out are their sweets like their range of Bonbons in flavours like Popping Candy and the 'All I Want Gateux'. The French influence does stand out in pastries like the classic L'Opera pastry, macarons, and the petit gateaux (or small desserts).
We're currently eyeing the box of 6 bonbons (INR 480), the indulgent Millionaire Bar (INR 150) and Pesto Babka (INR 218), a savoury take on babka (all the rage these days!)
