So we visited Nav Chaitanya a few days back. The ambience was very soothing. They ambience reflects the life of coastal area regions. The utensils are kept in display, the photographs it makes u feel that you are in malvan area. It's spacious, seating is comfortable. It's usually crowed but the service is amazing. The food served here is hot yet is very fast. The service they offer is really commendable.
What we had,
Guava Serbet - It was just like having masala Peru in liquid form, the taste was natural and It became favourite as we took the first sip
Solkadi - We definitely had to try this, being in malvan restaurant, had very high expectation from solkadi and it was perfect, authentic in taste just loved it
Aluwadi - 5 pieces of Aluwadi garnished with coriander leaves and desiccated coconut served with sweet tamarind chutney. The taste was really delicious.
Surmai Fry - A big piece of Surmai , perfectly marinated and rawa fried. The fish was tasty and fresh. Quality was really amazing.
Pomfret Fry - A big and tasty fish, presented well. It had a great taste.
Chicken Vade - 5 Pieces of vade served with chicken gravy. Its the best combination. Taste was amazing, vade were crispy and soft, the chicken pieces were tender and the curry was flavourful.
Prawns batata masala with jowarchi bhakri - We were amazed by the fact that prawns curry had potatoes in it. But the taste was really great and the bhakri went well with it. Quantity and quality of prawas was good.
Modak - The 4 sweet modal served with ghee. What can we expect more! The stuffing was modak was perfect in taste, the sweetness was perfectly balanced. The aroma was amazing.
They really live up-to their tagline ie Assal Malvan. Seriously the food, ambience has great Malvan vibes and taste is just perfect . We would highly recommend this place for family gatherings.
