What Is It?

Kolkata-based dream pop duo band, Parekh & Singh have announced their tour dates for August and yes, they’re all set to charm us with their performances in five cities- Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and Kolkata.

Who Is It For?

If you’re a fan of the band, and of attending a great gig, then prep yourself up. Singer-songwriter, Nischay Parekh and percussionist Jivraj Singh who make the band have been creating waves in the independent music scene for over six years now. In their pastel-clad suits that never go out of style, the duo have always on top of their musical game.

After doing a leg of tour in the UK {and signing a five-album deal with London-based Peacefrog records}, they are finally touring India. The dates are: August 4 in Bangalore {Humming Tree}, August 10 in Mumbai {antiSOCIAL Khar}, August 12 in Pune {High Spirits}, August 18 in Delhi {The Electric Room}, and finally back in their home-city, Kolkata on August 26 {Jamsteady X Calbunka}.

Why Should I Go?

Parekh & Singh are a delight to watch live. They bring their A-game to the gig with stunning visuals and sounds that are very unique to the pair.

With their single, “I Love You Baby, I Love You Doll” that took the internet by storm and put the duo on the map with their Wes Anderson-esque video, followed by another popular gem, Newbury Street, we’re ecstatic to watch them perform in the city. In fact, their debut album, Ocean, is full of eclectic pop songs.

We’re hoping they’ll be dropping some new tracks just to surprise us. Meanwhile, watch our favourite track, I Love You Baby, I Love You Doll.

Anything Else?

The tickets can be bought at the door for INR 400, so we suggest you get there in advance and queue before it’s full house.
