Date Night In Lower Parel? 5 Restaurants Every Foodie Will Love

Shaili posted on 18 May

If you’re a newbie in Mumbai or even if you’ve lived here as long as some of us have, this place needs no introduction. Probably the biggest gastronomical mecca in the city, this area certainly has a lot to offer, catering to every kind of taste bud there is. Here are a few of our favourites.

Asian Street Kitchen By Mainland China For Oriental

A popular working-lunch place located within Palladium, Asian Street Kitchen, which was Mainland China before the revamp, has a lunch buffet during office hours, but some of the al la carte dishes are so worth having.

A dish we sampled and loved is the crackling spinach with Asian spices. A unique starter that is served in a margarita glass, the dish is priced at INR 445

Special Mention: Pan of Asia, Tao 9

Cafe Zoe For European

Located in the heart of Mathuradas Mills Compound, Cafe Zoe is a favourite amongst Mumbai’s work crowd for its great meals, drinks, and Sunday brunches. That’s not all: There are events such as live bands, plays, and book reading sessions here

The seafood soup is priced at INR 250, while the grilled salmon is priced at INR 750

Special Mention: Indigo Deli and White Owl Brewery

Talaiva For Desi Khana

One of the newer restaurants in Lower Parel, Talaiva has a menu that claims to be a ‘royal affair’. If you’ve been to Jaipur, you may have had their famous laal maas – and it will be served here as well. Apart from this, a few of the standout dishes like neelgari murg {which is basically chicken korma}, and papad mangodi can be expected.

Special Mention: Punjab Grill, Maharaj Bhog Thali

Chai Pe Charcha For Quick Bites

When you enter this little, cozy place, you can have some traditional snacks at reasonable rates, which is the main reason why this restaurant resonates well with the college crowd.

Le 15 Patisserie For Desserts

Office goers of One Indiabulls Centre (and those working around) can now rejoice as dessert queen Pooja Dhingra last year opened her fourth Le15 Patisserie there. Like all others, this sweet pink-themed counter will store inside it the yummiest bite-sized goodies – red velvet cupcakes, Nutella brownies with teeny hearts on them, mini choux pastries and of course, those sea salt macaroons.

Sea salt macron priced at INR 75

Special Mention: Rolling Pin, Sweetish House Mafia
