Have you heard of the Robin Hood Army? It’s a voluntary troop of people who take to the streets to battle hunger and distribute leftover food to those who need it.

This Independence Day, The Robin Hood Army is gathering its forces to serve food to 1 million people in India, and you can join them and help them achieve their #MissionMillion2018 by becoming a volunteer.

Why Should I Volunteer?

If you want to make a difference in the real sense of the meaning, this is the best way to do it. The results of taking part in #MissionMillion2018 are immediately tangible, and the efforts will not be wasted.

The plan is to distribute food to the homeless, orphanages, old age homes, patients from hospitals and more. They are not asking for any funds or donations for the event, just hands to help in distributing the food to as many people as possible.

When Is It Happening?

The distribution will take place across pockets in the country including Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Bangalore and Pune on August 14 and 15, and to volunteer, just contact them here or follow their Twitter feed for more updates.

It's time to spread the word and get involved.
