Bringing back the childhood memories of gorging on ice cream sandwich, we checked out Sadguru Ice Cream in Dadar East and could not be happier.

Chow Down

Sadhguru is a tiny ice cream parlour opposite Hind Mata Market {famous for its fabric}. Remember how we told you about Rustom’s classic ice cream sandwiches? For the folks of Dadar East, Sadguru is your best bet.

On a droopy warm afternoon, we stumbled in here ready to get our hands on these sandwiches. Amongst the many {and unique} kulfi flavours, the humble sandwiches really stood out for us. They have three flavours at offer; vanilla, chocochips, and a fine roasted almond – which we loved and devoured every single bit of it.

The sandwich is a special kind, with two crunchy chocolate biscuits that hold the flavours intact. Do you remember our post-school pocket money splurge hurrying up to a Kwality Walls for a bikimax? The nostalgia is strong here.

Priced between INR 28 and INR 32, these tiny ice cream sandwiches are really popular with the school students, and people who come down from Parel just to get their hands on them.

Thy also have casatta, atleast 15 flavours in kulfi, and your regular scoops.

So, We're Saying...

Sadguru is a tiny takeaway shop, so don’t expect any seating. It’s old fashioned here as you take your ice cream, and crowd around the shop to finish it off.  Though come Sundays, and be ready to fight your way to the top to get your hands on the delightful ice cream sandwiches. An ode to thee summer memories? We think so.
