Sanctum, the furniture store in Khar, is definitely for those of you looking to tell a story through your home decor pieces.

Sanctum is a contemporary furniture and decor store, started in 2011, that has recently moved to a new space in Madhu Park, Khar. Their new range features design stories that merge vintage, international and uniquely Indian icons to create warm, nostalgic looks to personalise your home or office space.

They have three new design collections: Deorai, that is inspired by the flame of colours in the summer forests, Mangata, which focuses on warm Scandinavian lines, and La Riviera Indienne, that is a unique take on Indo-French designs.

This place has unique furniture pieces in different styles ranging from French elegance to Scandinavian lines, Industrial chic to colourful botanical looks. They’ve even got boards  explaining the inspiration behind their different story lines. I was fascinated with their vintage plant hangers, statement lamps and cushion covers in variety of colours and prints. They are also one of the few home decor stores that had a different Christmas collection that included festive cushion covers to a candle that smelled like mulled wine.

Definitely a splurge worthy store, that makes even browsing through an inspiring experience. I’d come back here to take a look at what new interesting furniture and light fixtures they’ve got.
