We've all been spending way too much time staring at our screens in my opinion. And virtually everything has become online, so I was very excited when I came across a brand shone the spotlight more on off-sceen interaction than on-screen. It's called Sassy Art Corner and well, their quirky products definitely seem to live up to the name.
Started in 2020, Sassy Art Corner is a lockdown brainchild of Priyanka Biyani. She started making handpainted games when lockdown was announced as a way to keep herself productively engaged as a mum of one, especially as the lockdown affected her social life. And the best part? It all started with a wrong delivery from Amazon! She received a wrong delivery from Amazon which had these peg dolls. And that's when inspiration struck to paint them with characters. As a mum, she wanted to was against cheap China-made toys or plastic and preferred wooden toys. So she decided to make her own version of Ludo King with it. The toys are all painted with non-toxic paints, handpainted and themed. They currently have 15+ options to choose from.
Expect classic games that we have all played as kids, but with a twist to make them more engaging and challenging. All the games are made of wood and each is both considered collectibles and meant for play. You'll find Harry Potter Twisted Ludo, Superheroes Twisted Ludo, Harry Potter Chess, Dino Jenga and Bollywood Jenga too. They also do customised and personalised gift options like decor items, shoes, mugs, bags and more.
