I'm a big-time foodie. And Asian food is my absolute go-to. From Japanese sushi to aromatic Thai curries and flavourful wok-tossed noodles, I'm a fan of it all. And well, if you're anything like me, you're going to be thrilled by this new kid on the block - Sesami. The third venture by entrepreneurs, Ruchyeta’s and Amit, the folks behind Love & Cheesecake and Poetry, Sesami is a celebration of all things Asian.
With its stylish interiors complete with an abstract Zen Garden, its artful decor, floor-to-ceiling windows that let in plenty of light, and comfortable (and plush) leather seating, Sesami is all set to win us over for date-night plans, weekend catch ups with friends, work lunches and even private functions thanks to their private dining area.
And of course, the highlight of any restaurant is the menu. In Ruchyeta's words Sesami is founded on a "simple yet profound food philosophy that food should be served fresh, natural, and delicious and pan-Asian cuisine such as Chinese, Japanese and Thai delicacies offer just that." The menu is focused on fresh ingredients combined with skilful cooking from their in-house chefs and features a range of favourites like stir-fries, satay, fried rice, sushi, dimsums, noodles and more. They also have Bento boxes that you can order. Expect dishes like the Truffle Mushroom Salad With Passionfruit, refreshing Pomelo Salad, and Spinach Roll With Prawn & Waterchestnut. Team it up with their selection of cocktails and you're good to go.
Sesami is about bringing authenticity and ambience together in one space and we can't wait to sample all they have to offer.
