Connaught Place’s Shake Square has arrived in Mumbai with an outlet on Linking Road, so we decided to go and check it out.

Sip On

Situated bang opposite Vijay Sales on Linking Road, it’s small on space but big on variety. The owners pride themselves on being an exclusive shake outlet, while comparing themselves to McDonald’s and shunning them for their lack of variety.

Their shakes start at INR 90 for a bottle – Delhiites living in the city will relate to this. A visit to this place will make the Connaught Place memories resurface from the gut. Basic flavours like vanilla, mango and strawberry are priced at INR 90, fruity milkshakes like blackcurrant, chiku and banana start at INR 120 and premium shakes such as Irish coffee, hazelnut coffee, KitKat, caramello or a Ferrero Rocher will cost you anything between INR 120 to INR 150. Their ice-cream shakes can be had on a hot day {which is everyday} starting INR 120.

Chow Down

If you like to eat something while sipping on a shake or vice versa, you can give their garlic bread {INR 40}, french fries {INR 50}, cheese and jalapeno fries {INR 70}, potato wdges {INR 60} and corn and cheese nuggets {INR 70} a try. Apart from nibbles, they also have pizza starting at INR 70 and sandwiches at INR 90.

So, We're Thinking...

Mumbai is obsessed with thick, gooey shakes {the ones that feel like a meal by the end}. Not that we’re complaining, but Shake Square does bring in a breath of fresh air with its light shakes that are not heavy on the stomach.

LBBTip

If you’re a collector of glass bottles, you can take one home from Shake Square by paying an extra INR 20. Use them as water bottles or plant holders/vases – your call.
