This one has been one of the best finds this month, to be honest. Called Farmveda, this is an online space which was started back in 2005 with the objective to connect the farmers to snack lovers like you and me and make their treats easily accessible online. Majority of the farmers are from this tiny district in Andhra Pradesh called Gunipalli.
Unlike the most farm to fork initiatives, this one doesn't include fresh produce or dairy. Rather, most products are made from crops grown by them, which are then handcrafted into yummy and nutritious snacks. Most of these are ready-to-cook meals. And, we can't wait to dig in! For starters, they've got classic peanuts, peanut butter, chocolates, flakes etc. Coming to the ready-to-cook meals. They've got tons of breakfast options like poha, idli, ragi idli, upma, millet dosa, rava idli, adai dosa, lemon rasam and groundnut chatni. Every packet has a happy face of the farmers who've worked towards the produce. Love the packaging! You can also opt for breakfast combos.
