Mumbai peeps! There's a new kid on the block and we couldn't be more stoked. If you're a fan of London Taxi or Butterfly High, good news, the folks behind two of our fave hangouts have teamed up with two new entrepreneurs to launch something totally fresh - Silly Community Bar & Kitchen in Bandra.
Now here's the tea: the 4700 square foot space features four distinct areas or spaces where you can lounge, read, sip a cocktail or catch up with friends. Expect lush greenery interspersed with pops of vintage decor and bright mismatched interiors that lend the space an upbeat vibe. We hear they have their very own roastery as well as a botanical garden for cocktails. And for those conscious diners, they have organic as well as sugar-free options too. The menu is eclectic which means you'll spot culinary influences from around the world as well as more local fare - plus they are focusing on local produce which is always a plus.
Expect to dig into nosh like Kerala Pepper Fry & Jackfruit and Raw Banana Kebabs, seasonal gazpacho and maple bacon smokies, plus vegan offerings like the Roasted Roots & Millet Salad, the Cuban Sriracha Tofu Sandwich. The menu is innovative and interesting, so we don't think you'll have a chance to be bored.
Personally, big fan of restaurants with outdoor seating at the moment and Silly looks like it checks a fair number of boxes when it comes to finding a cool new hangout in Bandra. We won't be missing out on this one.
