Hog On Stuffed Chhole, Keema Pattice And More At This Sindhi Food Crawl
What Is It?
Who Is It For?
For the Sindhi food lover. Expect stuffed chhole, keema pattice, sanna pakodas and gulab jamuns – this crawl has all the right ingredients for a food coma. The Sindhi camp in Chembur was set up post-independence to settle refugees from Pakistan. Now, it is home to many eateries which have been established there for decades, and serving the local community.
Why Should I Go For It?
Attendees can expect to visit joints such as the 60-year-old Ladda Ragda Pattice Wala, where a helping of chhole pattice would set them back by INR 30. They can also expect to drop by Jhama Sweets, the iconic sweets shop which got a recent makeover. Their gulab jamuns, for INR 20 a pop, are worth every penny.
Anything Else?
Attendees will be hosted by a ‘hardcore’ Sindhi, Jatin Khanna, who grew up in the area and is also a hospitality graduate. The event is expected to last between two to three hours, and the cost of the event will cover all the food, as well as a bottle of drinking water. There are also many vegetarian options up for grabs.
