You've Gotta Try The Authentic Sindhi Food From This Home Kitchen In Andheri

Remember the awesome food truck in Lokhandwala? Mammy’s Kitchen and Grill and the people behind it have now launched a new Sindhi food delivery service in Andheri West, and it’s as authentic as it gets.

This Sindhi food delivery kitchen is called ‘Sindh Jo Swadh’. A project in the making for a few months is now finally up and about, and they deliver to Oshiwara, Lokhandwala, 4 Bungalows, and even Juhu {the order needs to be at least INR 1,500 and above}. If you’re in Andheri West, hit them up.

This Sindhi family from Andheri has created the special menu keeping in mind their generations of Sindhi food that has been served at home. The traditional recipes have been passed on by their grandmother, and bua, Komal Nagpal, a 60-year-old women keeping intact her secrets.

The menu is simple, delicious and as Sindhi as it gets. Why do we say so? You gotta try out their bhee aloo tairi {lotus stems cooked and curried up in palak with their special Sindhi rice}, waddi aloo with chawal and roti, dal pakwan or even turee chana dal.

They have something for the vegetarians and non-vegetarians both. The food is cooked at their central kitchen in Lokhandwala, and is akin to the home-food one finds lavishly spread on a Sindhi family’s dinner table. It helps that the recipes come guarded by years of perfection, and spices tested and played around with.

There’s nothing like a good old Sindhi mutton served with pao or rice {INR 280} or the paya masala with pao. For the latter, one needs to give an order in the morning for evening delivery, or a day prior.

There’s nothing like a community sharing their authentic recipes and food and introducing them to others too.
