What Makes It Awesome?

After a series of successful restaurants, Oshiwara has another cafe more like a home away from home with nouvelle cuisines and sweet decor.  Let me take you there.

The Homemade Cafe nestles on the main road resembling a Parisian boulevard under bougainvillaea shrubs & creepers. The French styled cafe looks bijou and picturesque to the casual eye but the offerings are way beyond imagination. With vintage & artsy interiors like clock, radio, candles, statues etc. along with comfortable seating’s, the ambience makes for a charming backdrop as you take a sip of your cappuccino. If you are an avid reader, you can pick any book from the shelf and get engrossed in your own world.

The menu is a mix of healthy and tasty food including pasta, risottos, salads and other dishes dominating the menu. We started with a refreshing cup of Hot Mocha followed by healthy Chef Special Salad with tender coconut, couscous, pomegranate, black olives & homemade dressing. We wiped the entire plate of delicious Prawns Butter Garlic and also couldn’t control on the Crispy Potatoes in BBQ sauce too.  Not to miss the Open Hummus Sandwich; this had all the ingredients to eat and looked interesting.  You can undoubtedly order Chicken Sri Lankan Curry Rice floating with veggies and no regrets.

Leaving the table without desserts is a sin. We liked the Strawberry Cheesecake & Strawberry Cream Mousse to end our meal in an English way.

The Homemade Cafe is a gamut of elegance with great panache for homemade food and that makes this cafe outstanding. When you leave, don't say bye as it will bring you back again for a romantic date or a meal with your family or to simply have coffee all by yourself!
