The Soul Works is a tiny and cosy studio located in a quiet corner of Bandra that weaves dreamcatchers of all sizes and colors, tiny temples, and BoHo notebooks. Started by Karima Dawoodani, a full-time art director who quit her job to find her calling and follow her passion, The Soul Works is a 5-year-old venture that creates dreamcatchers, tiny temples and they have recently started selling cute BoHo notebooks that are an ideal gifting option, too.
The Soul Works is a team of approximately 20 underprivileged women spearheaded by Karima whose aim was to provide employment to these women who strive hard to create only the best. Enter her tiny studio only to be welcomed by dreamcatchers (every possible colour combination) hanging from the walls. Dreamcatchers made of embroidery threads, wool, feathers, beads and metal rings. There are even non-feather, vegan (yup, that's a thing!) dream catchers that use lace instead.
The smallest dreamcatcher (which can double up as a keychain) is priced at INR 250 and the largest ones, around 6 feet tall, can go up to INR 6,000. If you want to try making these beauties at home, you can opt to buy the Dreamcatcher DIY Kit for INR 550. The small temples also make for great showpieces for your living room. They are available in various sizes, the smallest one priced at INR 800. The idol can be customized as per your preference. If you have friends who are stationery lovers, then you just cannot miss their notebooks (INR 150 and upwards.)
