#WeekendGoals: Go River Rafting For INR 1,200 Only Three Hours From Mumbai

The information in this post might be outdated

What Is It?

A small river flowing from the Hills of Sahyadri to the Arabian Sea, Kundalika river is famous for white water rafting. With the heat playing tricks this summer, we thought you could use a breather, in the form of an adventure. Touted as the adventure capital of Maharashtra, rafting here starts at INR 650 per person on weekdays and IR 1,200 on weekends. An organisation by the name of Kundalika Water Rafting has packages suited for every need. They also provide accommodation along with rafting, if you’re looking for the whole shebang. They also have an all-women rafting batch, which we think is awesome.

Where Is It?

Kolad is about 120 kms from Mumbai and it’ll take you about three hours to reach.

How Do I Get There?

The easiest way is to drive down, but you can also hail a train or a bus. Dadar Ratnagiri Pass is a train that goes from Dadar at 3:35 PM.

What's Unique About It?

Since summer is almost over {we wish} and monsoon will soon greet us, rafting may not be available due to overflowing water levels. So, if you want to dabble in some water sports before the waves hit us, go for this.

Don't Leave Home Without...

They’ll provide the rafting gear so carry snacks, toiletries, sunscreen and other travel essentials.

You can check out their website here.
