What Is It?
Summer Garden is ruling Powai’s food scene, and it’s as fresh as it could get. Opened in Hiranandani complex, Summer Garden opens into as a very warmly-lit Goan eatery with a thatched roof and casual seating.
It has been started by Kanak Seth and Kitisha & Hiren Gaglani, who have used extremely locally sourced ingredients to make a light and healthy menu.
Chow Down
The emphasis of Summer Garden has been on using traditional Indian super seeds such as the amaranth, millet, sabja {the Indian alternative to chia seeds, but just as healthy} in their food. The menu has a lot of options from salad bowls, sandwiches and snacks such as curried sweet potato dish, jerk chicken, pesto grilled sole and even panko fish and chips to nibble on, though the mushroom cigars have clearly emerged the winner.
Healthy {as can get} burgers are a thing here, too, with their whole wheat burger bun and delicious black bean or bbq mutton options, all of course, served with delicious fries.
If you just want to sit at Summer Garden post a workout, they’ve got fresh juices {INR 110-155}, healthy smoothies {INR 245 onwards} and shakes {INR 180 onwards} as well. You could also sip on cold brew, coffee and tea here.
So, We're Saying...
We did tell you that this is one of Powai’s first-ever pet-friendly cafes as well, right? Get your/your friend’s/your neighbour’s dog along for a double date and pig out!
