Mumbai police commissioner Sanjay Pandey has made Sunday Street official where there will be no vehicular traffic at all on 9 Mumbai Streets. So, skip lazing around, and blaming traffic for everything as you can freely enjoy no-car zones at Marine drive, Bandra-Carter Road, Goregaon, DN Nagar Lokhandwala (back road), Mulund-Tansa Pipeline, Vikhroli-Eastern Express Highway, Chembur-Chimney Garden, Thakur Village in Kandivali, IC Colony in Dahisar – Green Garden and Pet Park, from 6am - 10am.
This was quite a success back in March when six of these zones had no vehicles during that time, but now it's a solid nine areas. Bring out the skates, bicycles, frisbees, cricket bats and balls, football, Zumba, yoga or plan good old Lagori during this time, at these zones. No traffic, no pollution, no drama on the street, just some Sunday fun!
