On December 1, Thrifty Ideas and All Things Studio are hosting a fundraising book sale. The sale will be hosted at the All Things Studio in Andheri from 5PM to 9PM. Over the last month, they've run a book drive and collected second hand books that will be sold at the sale. The books are priced from INR 50 to INR 300, which is a pretty good bargain for book lovers.
Of course, besides the fact that you'll be supporting a great cause, you'll also be adding to your book collection this Sunday. The book sale is being held to raise money for the children at the DNMPS School, managed by the Akanksha Foundation. They are aiming to raise money for exam kits for the school kids, each of which costs INR 550. There's no entry charge for the sale. So you can pop in and browse what's available, and hopefully walk away with a new book as well as a chance to raise the final goal of INR 19,000 for the school.
On your way out if you opt to, you can also go ahead and add to the donation box too!
