It is unbelievable as to how much a bakery can surprise you with their variety. I had received a cake studio hamper from a friend of mine and I swear to you, I wasn't disappointed. I LOVE desserts and haven't really had great desserts lately. What I received wasn't just desserts but there were also savory stuff inside the hamper. Let's go one by one. First, I opened the small box which had a miniature chocolate truffle cake with icing on it. I've never been a fan of icing because I've always felt it's too sweet. But this cake did not disappoint me. The sweetness of the icing was just perfect to taste and the truffle cake inside it was absolutely fresh. As if it had been freshly baked out of the oven. Chocolate truffle cake has always been my favorite since I was a kid and I surely wasn't disappointed with this one. Second, I tasted the red velvet cake in a jar. The sponge was soft and the cream on the cake was delicious. Apt amount of sweetness. The jar was covered with a jute cloth and nicely packed. The last time I tasted a red velvet cake jar was back in Delhi. And none of the bakeries have been able to match up to that standard except for Cake Studio. Third, there was a box of chocolate coated strawberries. The chocolate was also coated with small candy balls which enhances the taste. The strawberry and chocolate combination has been going on since eons. This goes best with wine and it's also known as a symbol of romance. When valentine's day is round the corner, this will be a sure hit. Fourth was the coffee butterscotch tea time cake. Don't worry, there are three more items to go apart from the current one 😁. The tea time cake is slightly dry which is exactly how it should be since this should be taken with tea. The flavor of coffee and butterscotch combined was a brilliant idea. The cake also had coffee beans (perishable ones) to enhance the flavor of coffee in it. Fifth one is the almond biscotti. This biscotti is made fully from almond flour and also has a subtle flavor of coconut in it which comes out in the first bite itself. I like the flavor of coconut infused in either chocolate or any other item. If you're not a fan of coconut flavor then this isn't for you. The sixth item is lavash. Not many get the crispness and flavor right but this one was just bingo. I loved the flavor and if you have hummus or a nice dip, this would be the perfect evening snack. The seventh item in the hamper was khari. It is said that it's also a perfect tea time snack but me being me, I can just take it out and start eating it whenever I want and not wait for tea time 🙈. Okay this is the last one, I promise. Breadsticks. Oh, how much I've loved munching on those. With soup, with butter, with chocolate. As usual they got the shape and crispiness right and they gave me a chocolate dip along with it !! Yay !!! My cravings for crispy breadsticks along with something sweet is finally coming true.
