Now, we’ve just found a gorgeous farm stay near Karjat, and we can safely say that over the next few months, you’re going to find us camping out here a lot. Why? Because Tanmay Farms is just the kind of getaway us Mumbai folks need. Located less than two hours from the city, this farm has everything one needs to detach from the city life- open space, fresh air and fun activities. Go here when you’re a big group of friends looking to simply unwind and rejuvenate.
Tanmay Farms is an enchanting getaway for couples, families and large groups of up to 15 people. Spread across 10 acres of land, this property is huge, spacious and surrounded by greenery. Decorated with pretty bougainvillea all around, the bungalow comes with ample space to lounge around outside, along with a swimming pool, cycle track {cycles provided}, barbeque and trampoline facilities. The three-bedroom farmhouse is fully equipped with a TV, attached washrooms, air conditioning, and at a time can house up to 15 people. There’s also a functional kitchen where you can cook your meals, or they can provide you with all three meals at an additional cost. For those who would like to indulge in some outdoor activities, there’s a basketball court, indoor and outdoor sports equipment, ATVs, etc.
Shell Out: If you’re a group of a minimum of 8-10 people, then on weekdays, you can stay here for INR 1,200 per person, per night, and on weekends/public holidays/ long weekends, it will cost you INR 2,500 per person, per night. They do not give out individual rooms so we suggest you get all your friends together and book this place in advance for your next weekend getaway (they get booked really fast)
How To Reach: By road, it won’t take you longer than two hours, and the drive, mind you, is a beautiful one.
