Mumbai Marathon 2020

What's Happening

Mumbai is known for more than its stunning seaside drives, streetside food, late-night street life and hectic work hours. When one talks of Mumbai, they also talk about running, in one way or another. Be it in terms of catching up with the city’s tight schedule, or running to catch that local on time, and so on. So, it’s only fitting that all the running that comes with the TATA Mumbai Marathon is so central to the city itself. Now that the marathon is less than two months away, perhaps you’d like to turn towards its Sports Goods partner- ASICS because they’ve got an amazing Running Club to help you get into the marathon lifestyle!

Running a marathon is no easy task, and luckily, this Mumbai Marathon would be perfect to accommodate us all. So, apart from the full 42 km- long marathon, they’ve also got the half marathon (21.097 km), open 10K run (10 km), senior citizens’ run (4.2 km), champions with disabilities run (1.5 km). If you don’t belong to any of these professional running categories, go for their dream run (5.9 km). Isn’t is beginning to sound easier already?

Even if it has, you wouldn’t want to risk an injury by not having the proper training to run the marathon. This is where you should take our recommendation and check out ASICS’ Running Club, also called ARC. Not only will they help you become a better runner with their specialized training, but it can also help you achieve your fitness goals with their strength and agility training. Don’t worry if you are based outside of Mumbai- ARC is also based in Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru and Pune, with all these branches being run by expert coaches. After all, running is much better when you have a whole group to keep motivating you to go on! You can check out their training schedule here.

Pro-Tip

Try not to miss any of the ARC meets before the marathon happens because the absence of a proper habit of running can lead to serious injuries. And yet, that doesn’t mean that you leave the meetings after the marathon! The marathon is just a step on your way to a fitter body and a healthier lifestyle.

Books for breakfast, Dilli ki chaat for lunch, stories for dinner. I prefer the company of streets and cats and street cats more than that of people.
