What Makes It Awesome

Ok, so I may have a slight addiction to baked goodies, especially fresh-baked bread. And having given up the possibility of a low-carb diet years ago, it's no wonder that I'm always looking out for new bakeries to try. And I was pretty happy with the offering at the Artful Baker.

An artisan bakery and cafe, The Artful Baker is where I have ordered in from when I've craved a good pain au chocolate or almond croissant - buttery, flaky and fresh, these totally hit the spot. They also make a mean cruffin - if you've never had one, I suggest you try - all the goodness of a croissant with the ease of a muffin - plus did I mention these have tasty fillings like dark chocolate and lemon curd? I've also tried out a couple of their pastries, but found those to be on the drier side and would suggest you stick to the baked stuff. Their sandwiches are pretty filling as well, and if you like a good portion size, I'll just say, I've never been able to finish their almond croissant in one go!

Expect to shell out INR 165 for cruffins, and INR 135 up for butter croissants. I'm planning to order their Goat Cheese and Cherry Tomato Tart next, which I hear is quite a winner.

What Could Be Better

I'd give the pastries a miss. This isn't really their specialty and can totally be avoided.
