Get The Fluffiest, Juiciest Baos In Town Home-Delivered With The Bao Haus

The Bao Haus Co., is located in South Bombay and is a delivery-only service of the fluffiest, most flavourful steamed buns in all the land.

While they’re a Pan-Asian service with a spread of food across burgers, flat breads, and other sides and starters, we are coming straight to the heart of the matter – the baos. That’s what they’re named after and what they deliver so well. One very indulgent afternoon at work, we each ordered ourselves our own bao box, which came with two baos apiece.

The vegetarians in the house called for the tempura vegetable bao, stuffed with tempura veggies like zucchini, broccoli & bell pepper and scallion relish, beetchup {beets pureed into ketchup} wrapped in a soft bun, drizzled with a spicy tomato jam. We couldn’t have enjoyed our meal more.

The meat-eaters chose the buttermilk fried chicken, and had no evidence for it left but the brown thick-paper box it arrived in to show for it. That good.

We ordered their cheesy fries, but they were a bit too chewy for us to love, though cheese made it better. You may also order their Belgian pork belly bao, shrimp bao, tofu mushroom bao or even a sous vide goat bao. Don’t stop there – they also make a delicious chocolate bao complete with hazelnut and marshmallows.
