The more we underestimate Navi Mumbai and it's areas, the more it surprises us. This time, we found a fine diner for you in Kopar Khairane, that's draped in elegance, and serves killer Indian, Oriental, and Continental food. Read on to know what you must try when here.
This eatery cum bar has modern interiors with ambient chandeliers and minimal decor. To begin with, we drank up a hot toddy, and a very well made whiskey sour, that came along with some bar nibbles like peri peri masala peanuts and corn chaat. For starters, we did their classic paneer tikka tacos that came with tomato salsa sauce, cheese fondue, and sour cream. The quantity is just about perfect, and the tikkas are soft and flavorful. You'd want another plate if you have a good appetite. For main course, we called for a roasted lamb chilli and an Andhra chicken 65. On tasting them, we knew our ordering was on point. And you know you've called for the right dish when you regret eating it too fast. The roasted lamb chilli gets the cake for being tender and juicy. Everything was perfect about this dish, really. And the Andhra 65 too, did it's magic.
Though we wanted to give desserts a miss, we din't really want to regret the fact that we skipped their tiramisu and brownie avalanche. The combination of a sizzling hot brownie, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and oodles of hot chocolate sauce, will NEVER disappoint you. The tiramisu was perfect too.
While we thought we'd be a bit critical with The Food Foundry, there was nothing really to complain about. The food was soul (and tummy) satiating. And we might just travel all the way to Navi Mumbai for it again. It's time you bookmark this restaurant too!
