What Is It?

The bill to legalize marijuana is up for discussion in the winter session of parliament which is officially scheduled between December 15, 2017 and January 6, 2018. A group of people don’t want to risk the parliament ignoring this important issue and continue the prohibition. Hence, they have organized The Great Legalisation Movement, India across several cities which will have marches to support the legalization of cannabis and hemp.

Tell Me More

The nation wide march will happen on December 17, 2017 from 9:00am to 12:00 noon in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram. Specific locations and other details will be out by Saturday and will be updated on their Facebook page.

Hemp is a variant of cannabis without the narcotics affect which can be used to create environment friendly alternatives to hundreds of products such as wood, paper, plastic etc.
