What Makes It Awesome

Latika Chakrabarty is an octogenarian selling gorgeous upcycled, handmade bags. She makes these potlis, as they're called, using old sarees, kurtis, pieces of cloth, and whatnot. Her sewing machine has been her best friend for decades, and this 89-year-old granny had even lost count of the number of bags she has made.

With help from her family, she is now selling these beautiful bags on her own website. Though she's based out of Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, she sends these bags across the country. What we loved about them was the fact that they're simple and multi-purpose, and each bag has been given a unique name that adds to its charm.

The potlis are limited and will get sold out fast, so if you like one, make sure you 'bag' it now.
