Amidst all the fancy food that has taken over Instagram and our bellies, there comes a time when you crave for simple, fuss-free and classic food, and that's where Jain Sweets & Bhelpuri House make a grand entrance.
Known for being around since time immemorial, and located right outside Kandivali railway station, it's very hard to miss. And if you're unlucky enough to have missed it, I pray that the smell of fresh vada pavs that wafts through the air takes you to them.
Began with their much-talked-about Chole Bhature, and I must say that it was worth every penny of hype that was created by my friends and family. While enough is spoken about the famous Pav Bhaji of Mumbai, pav bhaji at almost every place has its charm and the same goes for the Cheese Pav Bhaji that I devoured at Jain Sweets. Loaded with generous amounts of Amul cheese, this Pav Bhaji is a quick fix to your hunger pangs if you're walked out of Kandivali station on a hungry stomach.
Do I even need to mention about Mumbai's heartbeat, the classic Vada Pav?! Interestingly, Jain Sweets serves a delicious Baked Cheese Vada Pav (might sound overrated, but it's not), stuffed with veggies, batata vada and cheese and grilled to perfection topped with a dollop of Amul butter. Isn't it making you drool already?
While my raging belly could only accommodate so much food, I'd suggest you also hit up their Live Chat Corner where they serve almost every chat item under the sun.
If you're looking for the good old comfort food, and good service at reasonable prices, I recommend a visit to Jain Sweets & Bhelpuri House. I'm sure you won't leave disappointed.
