What Makes It Awesome?

You looking for Texture, Punch, Flavour Ministry Of Crab has it all. MOC serves the best catch of the Day, No Frozen, and Fresh Fish enough to be served as Sashimi. Ingredients are outsourced.
Anyways coming to what we had yesterday:

Started with Avocado Crab Salad -Basically it's steamed and chilled white meat from the crap shredded a tad wasabi served in half an avocado. Best ways to have it add some Fresh pepper scoop the meat along with avocado. It's subtle in taste with pepper hitting you.

Coming to the Vegetarian we asked for Avocado and Tomato Salad (This is only Available on the mezzanine floor) a part of their Sunday Brunch. Freshly smashed avocados with a bit of Soy poached tomatoes. Texture looked amazing. Tasted lovely.

Butter Chilli Tofu for the Vegetarians was a delight - silken tofu tossed in red chilli with butter. This has the Punch and spices from the chillies. Overall a good dish.

Spicy Grilled Prawns - awesome. Melt in the mouth. Gives you the Smokey touch as its flame grilled. Here the chef has used tiger Prawns with coconut and chilli marinade. Balance is perfect. Must order.

Kade Bread with Butter and Pol Sambol (Veg) they also have one with Maldives fish. Coming to Kade bread Its Traditional Sri Lankan Bread baked in wood fire oven. One can have this with Pol Sambol or Sambola which is traditional dish made out of coconut or rather Fresh grated coconut with red onions dried whole chills ( spice and punch ) a bit of salt and lime. Normally served at room temperature. Nice combination Kade and Pol. Try this out.

Prawns - From Big prawns (150/200 gms till Prawnzilla 500 Grams upwards) take your pick with the different cooking style. I opted for Garlic Prawns. Size OMG (400 gms) Cooked to perfection. Cooking style simple. It's basically Garlic/Olive Oil/Chilli Flakes/pepper and a bit of Soy with Sri Lankan spice to a certain level. Served along with Garlic Bread. One has to try this. Loved the texture and balance.

Mains - Vegetarian, Goan Curry. Served in a Tagine pot (a bit confusing) at the end the taste matters. This is all about texture and flavours. Velvety smooth texture. Being a Goan dish expected to be a bit on the spicy side. Here they have given a tamarind touch to it along with Goan flavours. Baby Eggplant/Onions/Mushrooms and coconut vinegar to balance the dish. Just remove the mindset of goa and have this as a normal Sri Lankan dish. The flavours speak for itself. Went well with the Garlic Rice.

Crabs - Asked for the smallest possible (1/2 Kg approx 500/600 Gms) MOC does not anything less than 500 gms. Cooking style Sweet Chilli sauce. People are fussy about Presentation. It's the taste or cooking style that matters. This too had enough meat. Spiced well. Semi thick Gravy. Went well with the Prawn Rice (Lovely aroma)

Dessert - french toast, Buttery at the same time moist French Brioche. Must try. Also try Their Coconut and Rum Granita (Rum hits you)

This place serves some amazing cocktails as well. Both The lower level and mezzanine has different bars. Will pen this later in the day.

Coming to the Ambiance - Amazing. Very inviting. They have the 2 sections. Also 2 private halls which can sit around 15 and 10 at the basement. It's worth a try. Till I get back with the cocktail details. Cheers!
